Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach is located on the southeastern coast of Virginia. There are a multitude of beaches stretching up and down the coast, making Virginia Beach a resort city. From the more residential vibe of Sandbridge, to the hip and private feel of Chix, to the family fun of the Oceanfront; there are many beaches to choose from. Even though Virginia is considered a resort city, a good majority is suburban in character. Because of this, Virginia Beach is considered the city with the highest population in Virginia, but 41st in the nation. This city that borders the Atlantic Ocean, is home to many cultural and economical centers, such as Red Mill Shopping Center. The Oceanfront Boardwalk, the restaurants of downtown, and the agricultural center of Pungo, makes this ocean influenced city is full of activity and discovery. In fact, Pungo is the host of the annual Strawberry festival, world famous for its celebration of strawberry picking and strawberry season, where families can go pick fruit, enjoy unique and local vendors, while bonding with the community.
